Arnetta Jones Randle

Arnetta_RandleArnetta Jones Randle, 55, was born on Feb. 4, 1956 to the late Arrie and Othella Watson Jones in Shreveport.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour at an early age and united with Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. In later years, she joined Galilee Baptist Church. She united with Mt. Zion CME Church as an associate member. She served faithfully until her health failed.

Arnetta received her formal childhood education at Central Consolidated High School. During her school years, she participated in numerous activities and received many awards. Upon graduating from high school, she continued her educational pursuits at Grambling State University.

Arnetta served in the United States Armed Services. She was stationed at Oakland Army Base in Oakland, California and Stdorthalzert Raserne in Nurnberg, Germany. She received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Marksman Rifle Award. After six years of active duty, SP5 Arnetta Jones received an honorable discharge.

She united in holy matrimony to Elijah Pearce. From this union, one son was born. She later united in marriage to Robert Lee Randle.

Arnetta departed this earthly life and entered into eternity on Thursday, January 5 at Overton Brooks Veterans Hospital in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Randle; her parents, Arrie Jones and Othella Jones; an infant son; and a brother, Johnny Boose.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, two sons, Marcus McKinney and Karl Pearce; granddaughter, Asia McKinney; sisters, Janice Critton of Grambling and Viesta Jones of Minden; brothers, Troy Jones of Doyline, Arzie Jones of Doyline, and Terry Jones of Minden; stepsister, Robin Brown of Austin, Texas; aunts, Ruby Jones of Dubberly, Levion Gandy of Minden, Castoria Patterson of Inglewood, California, Faye Dennis of Antioch, California and Evelyn Jones of Berkley, California; one great-aunt, Henretta Jones Bailey of Houston; special friend, Lonnie Weaver; godchild, "Mimi;" and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion CME Church with Dr. Earl Griffin, officiating. Interment will follow at the Moore Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 13 in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m. at Mt. Zion CME Church.
