Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Morgan Simmons, 54, will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. in Walnut Road Baptist Church with Bro. Jake Vanderburg officiating and eulogy by sister, Bonnie Hunter. Interment will follow in Union Springs Cemetery, Shongaloo, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
Visitation will be held today (Thursday) from 5 until 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Simmons was born Feb. 2, 1957 in Haynesville to Giles Clinton and Norma Marie Lee Morgan and passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of the Baptist faith and a caregiver for Home Health. Mrs. Simmons was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by children, Monica Dickey Haven of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; son, Patrick Dickey and wife, Christy of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; Duane Dickey of Jacksonville, Texas, Robbie Dickey and wife, Tonya of Shongaloo, Scott Dickey and wife, Zondra of Bossier City, Kim Schildroth and husband, Greg of Springhill, and Kelly Simmons of Bossier City; father, Clinton Morgan of Shongaloo; sister, Bonnie M. Hunter and husband, Sammy of Haughton; brother, Donnie Morgan and wife, Anna of Shongaloo; grandchildren, Jewel Havens, Alayna, Olan, Josie, Gabby, Ashley and Taylor Dickey, Brooke Harvill and husband, Jeremy, Ryanne Schildroth, Blake Schildroth and Shane Schildroth and wife, Destiny; great-grandchildren, Lainie Schildroth, Laken, Conner and Baylee Schildroth; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her mother and husband, George Simmons.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hunter, Aaron Hunter, Olan Dickey, Joe Morgan, Tyler Garner, Allen Lee, Albert Morgan and Roy Dale Teutsch.
