District C Councilwoman Magaline Quarles will serve in 2012 as the City of Minden's Mayor Pro Tempore. In this position, she will be allowed to make top decisions if Mayor Bill Robertson is unable to perform his duties.
"I'm proud to be elected to this position by my fellow councilpersons," Quarles said. "I believe in serving the city and doing things for the citizens."
Quarles, who served as Mayor Pro Tempore in 2003 and 2007, was elected Tuesday night by a unanimous vote with only District A Councilman Joe Cornelius absent.Subscribe to Read!
