WALKER_OBIT845Funeral services for Broderick Antonio Walker will be held at the 14th District Building in Minden Saturday, Dec.17, 2011 at 1 p.m.

A wake will be held today (Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at Benevolent Funeral Home Chapel from 6 until 7 p.m.

Burial will be at Sheppard Street Cemetery.

Broderick Antonio Walker was born Jan. 6, 1983 to Douglas Walker Sr. and Patricia Peters in Shreveport. He departed this earthly life on Dec. 5, 2011 in Minden.

He attended school in Webster Parish where he received his GED. He received his CNA License from Northwest Technical College in Minden.

He worked at Town & Country, Meadowview Nursing Home and Minden Medical Center in Minden.

Broderick was a kind and loving person. He never met a stranger and he was always smiling. He would keep you laughing. He was a very good cook. He was always cooking for others.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Annie and David Peters Sr.; paternal grandfather, Roy Walker; step-grandfather, Jessie Crow; uncles, Ricky Walker and David Peters Jr.; aunt, Brenda Peters; and niece, Diamond Walker.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Patricia Peters; father, Douglas Walker Sr.; brother, Douglas Walker Jr. (Tottie); sisters, Demetrice (Gregory) Douglas, Latesia Moore and Nicollete Walker; grandmother, Carrie Crow; niece, Quintavia Ferrel, AByria Elkins, Ah'Lazia Douglas and Alexis Walker; nephews, Tyrin Elkins, Kobe Elkins, Gregory Douglas Jr., Louis Moore and Mi'Jai Batton; aunts, Rosiland Walker, Lucille Peters, Gwen Walker and Vernecia Peters; uncles, Sammie Peters, Jobbie Peters and Markium Peters; special cousin: Latoya Walker, cousins, great-uncles; great-aunts and friends.
