The Glenbrook Apaches continued their winning ways Tuesday night with a whopping 70-26 defeat of Riverfield Academy from Rayville.
"I feel that we played good ball tonight," Glenbrook coach Chris Kourvelas said. "We created turnovers like we should have, and we took care of the ball fairly well."
Glenbrook created more than 30 turnovers and only turned the ball over 11 times. The Apaches had more than 60 total rebounds and 20 total assists.
"We rebounded the ball extremely well and played as a team," the coach said. "We were able to get all players in the game, and every player got on the books in one way or another."
The win improves Glenbrook's record to 9 - 3 and their district record to 2 - 0.
Leading the way for the Apaches was Zach Specht with another double-double. He notched 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Caydan Maloney had 10 points and seven rebounds. Terez "Mookie" Mac had seven points, five assists, five rebounds and five steals.
Devin James had seven points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals. Cory Walker added six points, nine rebounds and a pair of steals.
Austin Palmier had six points as did Wesley Hicks, who also had six rebounds and two steals.
Cade Spurlock had five points, 10 rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals.
Bennett Kitchens had two points points. And Jacob White had five rebounds and three steals.
