"Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth." Matthew 5:5 NASB
The third Beatitude describes a disciple as one who is gentle and meek. This meekness is not being wimpy, weak, or cowardly. It is strength under control, just like a strong and mighty horse that has been broken and now can be ridden.
