Drought damages Christmas tree crops
Drought isn't the first word that comes to mind at Christmas time, unless a live tree is in the plans. Old Beck House Tree Farm and Gift Shop (Beck) on Beck Curve Road saw a definite effect by the drought on their youngest trees.
"We use a drip system so they have water year round," Beck co-owner Wayne Perryman said. "The problem is when it's 100 degrees outside, the water just ends up making 100-degree mud."Subscribe to Read!
