The Minden Crimson Tide traveled to Monroe Friday night to take on the #1 seeded Neville Tigers in their second round playoff game and found out why the Tigers are the top seed in 4A. Neville dominated the game on both sides of the ball, grinding out over 300 yards on the ground and holding the Tide to only 55 yards total in the first half. The Tigers scored five times in the first half alone, leading to a dominating 44-22 Neville win.
Minden was able to move the ball some against the bigger and faster Neville defense. Quarterback Turner Francis was able to complete five of his first six passes, mixing them up between Javion Johnson, Coltan Haynes, and Derek Herrington. However, Neville was able to keep the gains from the passes to a very minimum, while holding the Tide's rushing game to negative yardage.Subscribe to Read!
