Bossier City police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the Friday night stabbing death of his mother, a one-time Minden resident.
Twenty-year-old Christopher Wayne Holder was arrested on a charge of second degree murder for stabbing 55-year-old Donna Holder to death inside their home in the 100 block of Stonebridge Boulevard in Bossier.
Donna Holder was the daughter of the late Leo and Marie Green of Minden.
Christopher Holder called police to the scene at approximately 7:15 p.m., saying his mother had been stabbed by an unknown assailant who had entered their home.
Police and fire department personnel responded and located the victim deceased inside the home.
Christopher Holder was diagnosed in 2006 with a bi-polar disorder, as well as other psychological problems – a subject that was a source of disagreement between his divorced parents.
He allegedly was not taking his medication at the time of the stabbing.
Upon further investigation, detectives determined Christopher Holder had stabbed the victim and arrested and charged him with second degree murder.
He was taken into custody at the scene without incident and booked into the Bossier City Jail.
Bond is set at $1 million.
