(Prayer) Breakfast is served

Jim Towns will be the guest speaker for the Farm-City Prayer Breakfast Thursday, November 17 at theMinden Civic Center.

The annual event recognizes agriculture and shows appreciation to the local farm community.

According to Minden South-Webster Chamber of Commerce President Susan Matamoros, coffee and juice will be served at 6 a.m.; breakfast at 6:30 and the program will begin at 7.

The invocation will be led by Pastor Royal Scott of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church.

J.L. Jones Elementary Students, under the direction of Art Teacher Frank DeLoach, created Autumn-themed placemats for the event.

The Reverend Keith Brown of Minden Church of Christ will lead the benediction.

Several individuals, businesses and elected officials including state Rep. Jean Doerge, John C. Campbell D.D.S., Dorcheat Soil and Water Conservation, Sheriff Gary Sexton, Clerk of Court Holli Vining and Tax Assessor -elect Morris Guin have donated turkeys to be given as door prizes.
