Funeral services for Mrs. Ever Sewell Denmon, 88, were held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at 2 p.m. in Old Sarepta Missionary Baptist Church, Sarepta, with the Rev. Todd Pickard and the Rev. Clint Davis officiating. Interment followed in Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
Visitation was held Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
Ever was born July 13, 1923 in Emerson, Arkansas to Burchell B. "Sam" and Ida Haynes Sewell and passed away, Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas. She was a resident of Tyler and a former resident of Springhill. Along with all of her family Mrs. Denmon was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Springhill. She attended and graduated from Springhill High School in 1942, met and married the love of her life, Arthur C. Denmon in 1948. Ever was a beauty operator in Sarepta for 25 years before moving to Tyler in 1979 where she became an Apartment Manager for approximately 17 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved cooking and doing everything for her family.
She is survived by her loving family including her husband of 63 years, Arthur C. Denmon; sons, Thomas E. Denmon, Robert C. Denmon and wife, Janice of Shreveport; daughter, Janice M. Chamness and husband, Chuck of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Chelsea Acree, Paige Chamness, Peyton Chamness, Thomas Spencer Denmon, Garrett Autry Denmon and Logan Robert Denmon; sisters, Adene Mouser, Ruby Maus, Annie Lou Giles Dobbs; family pet, Laci and a host of other relatives and family.
Pallbearers were Garrett Autry Denmon, Logan Robert Denmon, Thomas Spencer Denmon, Rick Holland, Billy Stockton, Phil Drake, Terry Castle and Bruce Morris.
