NNO hosts to be recognized

When the Minden City Council meets Monday, there will be special crime fighters recognized during the meeting.

District C Councilwoman Magaline Quarles said all block party hosts for the 2011 National Night Out will be commended for their hard work and diligence.

"We must continue to work together to give crime a 'going-away party' in Minden," Quarles said.

While there were no District A parties, the other districts participated with the following hosts:

District B

District C

Town & Country Health & Rehab, 614 Weston Street

Camilla Law, 713 Crichton Street

Fuller Center of Webster, 111 Millard Fuller Drive

District D

Woodhaven Subdivision Neighbors, Woodhaven Subdivision

Phillip & Kathy McInnis, 911 Jefferson Street

District E

Ruth and (the late) Matt Martin/Amanda & Ivan Wilson, 1102 Louisiana Avenue

The council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, Minden City Hall.
