
Minden firefighters were called out to KCS Drive Thursday around 6 p.m. for a diesel spill on one of the railroad tracks. Fire Chief Kip Mourad said a broken rail punctured the diesel tank inside the engine pictured above causing a spill of around 250 gallons of fuel. Mourad said equipment was used to “hike up” the engine and the fuel was off-loaded into a tank.
