Kirkland wants jury seat

DSC_0193Submitted by Perry Kirkland

I would like to announce that I am a candidate for Dist. #5 police juror. My ballot number is 67.

I attended Minden High School, Northeast Louisiana College and Shreveport Draughn-Norton Business College.

I am a retired operator with Kerr McGee Refining Corp. I am a member of First Pentecostal Church of Cotton Valley where I serve as treasurer. I served as Dist. 5 juror from October 1992 until Dec. 31, 1995, as a member of the Intergovernmental Relations, legislative and industrial development, administrative committee and chairman of the environmental committee. I am a board member of Cotton Valley Fire District 8.

I am a people person, able to work with fellow jurors to get things done. When elected, I know that I work for you, the people of District 5 and Webster Parish as your employee. I will do my very best to perform the duties of that position. The line of communication is always open and together we can address your concerns.

I am willing to listen to all who have ideas on how to make Webster Parish better, a community we can all be very proud of.
