Cooper Tire Cobras, Minden Athletic Tide get big wins

Results from the Minden Recreation Departments little league football program.


2nd through 4th-graders

Cooper Tire Cobras 7, Gibsland Bank & Trust Tigers 6

Ken-Darrius Moore led the Cobras with 130 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown. Fernundo Thornton added 27 yards and an extra point, and Trevor McLean added seven yards.

Harrison Sweeney and Moore each led the team in tackles.

Kevin Ward led the Tigers with 166 yards with a 70-yard touchdown. Raymond Dillard Jr. was the team's leading tackler.

5th and 6th-graders

Mohawks 18, Webster Gravel Warriors 7

Decorion Brim had an outstanding game as he led the Mohawks with 205 yards. Brim scored touchdowns from 87, 63 and seven-yards out. Albert Taylor ran for 34 yards, matthew Allums had nine and Chase Mitchell added seven.

Camron Dollar and Joseph Kidd led the team on defense.

Ty Adams led the Warriors with 179 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown was 81 yards, and he also added the extra point. Adams and Tyrese Myles led the team in tackles.


2nd through 4th-graders

Minden Athletic Crimson Tide 32, Holiday Inn Express Tigers 0

Chance Mitchell scored touchdowns from 60 and 65-yards to lead the Tide. Tre' Abney added a 70-yard score,

as well as an extra point. Eric Lander had a 45 yard touchdown and Austin King scored from 10-yards out and added an extra point.

Mitchell and Lander led the tough Tide defense.

Gavin Jackson had 32 yards and D'Angelo Garner added 22 to lead the Tigers. Eastland Carrigan led the Tigers in tackles.

5th and 6th-graders

Harrington's Little Tiders 13, Patillo Punishers 12

TyChristopher Harris ran for 57 yards including a 25-yard touchdown to lead the Tiders. Kentrevion Rogers had 34 yards and a touchdown, and Nathaniel White had 27 yards and an extra point conversion.

Alonzo Lister and Barron Bailey both led the team in tackles.

Ken'Dereck Charles gained 80 yards to lead the Punishers. He scored on a 67-yard touchdown. Christion Mardis scored a touchdown on a 50-yard fumble return, and JeCareon Lathan added 20 yards.

Austin Moss, Jwan Pickens and Mardis all led the defense.
