It’s time to get your ghost on

It's time again to be scared out of your wits as the Minden Press-Herald and Webster Parish schools are teaming for the annual Ghost Stories special section.

The paper is announcing to all who wish to participate that the story deadline is Friday, October 21 at 5 p.m. In order to complete the section in a timely manner, the Press-Herald must rigidly adhere to this deadline.

"We always look forward to reading the stories submitted by our local children and students," Press-Herald Publisher Josh Beavers said. "There are always some very creative and very interesting entries."

As usual, the paper will take handwritten stories; however, if possible electronic submissions would be appreciated. This especially goes for the older authors, who tend to write much longer stories than their younger counterparts.

If you wish to submit stories electronically, e-mail them to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You may also fax entries to 377-1895, or you may drop off hard copies (or copies saved on CD or disk) at the paper's 203 Gleason Street office.

As always, a great prize awaits winners.
