Bearkats runs past Knights

BOSSIER — Going into Friday night's game with the Bossier Bearkats, North Webster Knights head coach Joey Pesses was wary of the speed and running game of his opponents.

"Bossier is a very good team," he said. "And they have a lot of speed, they're very fast. I've been here 17 years and they have always been fast. We'll just have to be ready."

The Knights proved to be just short of ready, as the Bearkats rolled up 334 yards rushing en route to beating the Knights, 57-14.

The game was never in doubt as Bossier controlled the game from the beginning. The Bearkats controlled both lines of scrimmage. In addition to the yards the offense piled up, the defense couldn't be handled either, holding North Webster to just 125 yards of total offense.

Things won't get any easier for the Knights as they face the Homer Pelicans and Calvary Cavaliers over the next two weeks, with this Friday night's game being played at Homer.
