Woman accused of stealing cash from old friend
A friendship that stood the test of time, may not withstand the test of theft after a Doyline woman was arrested Monday for taking approximately $30,000 in cash from her friend's residence on four separate occasions.
Cindy S. Loggins, 59, of the 400 block of Stable Dr. in Doyline, admitted to Bossier Parish deputies, she went into the home of the victim, with whom she had been friends for more than 30 years, and took the cash while her friend was at work.
She said she spent about $15,000 on bills and sent another $15,000 to a man in New York. She then told deputies she had $800 of the stolen money at her residence.
After obtaining a search warrant, Bossier Sheriff's detectives searched the Loggins' residence, where they recovered $1,100 in cash.
Loggins was charged with four counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility where her bond was set at $80,000.
The North Webster Drug Task Force arrested two Springhill men on drug charges in separate incidences.
Webster Parish Sheriff's Lt. Shawn Baker and Det. Ronald Wedgeworth and Sgt. Sal Gonzalez of the Springhill Police Department booked 53-year-old Jimmy L. Raybourn on three warrants for distribution of CDS Sch. III Hydrocodone.
He is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center (BDCC) on bonds totaling $45,000.
Baker, Wedgeworth and Ofc. William Frazier arrested 28-year-old LaDarion Demtre Robinson on a warrant for distribution of CDS Sch. II Crack Cocaine.
He is being held at BDCC on a $50,000-bond.
