Psalm 103 summarizes God's far-reaching love and caring empathy for each of His own. I like reading it from THE MESSAGE, especially this section: "He forgives your sins--every one. He heals your diseases --every one. He redeems you from hell--saves your life! He crowns you with love and mercy--a paradise crown (at that). He wraps you in goodness--beauty eternal. He renews your youth--you're always young in His presence."
The Psalmist continues: "God makes everything come out right...He is sheer mercy and grace...rich in love. He never holds grudges. As high as the heaven is over the earth, so strong is His love to those who fear Him. And as far as sunrise is from sunset, He has separated us from our sins. As parents feel for their children, God feels for those who fear Him.
"He knows us inside and out; He keeps in mind that we're made of mud...God's love is (for)ever and always, eternally present to all who fear Him, making everything right for them and their children as they follow His Covenant ways and remember to do whatever He said."
As we meditate on this question, may we be reminded of the wisdom the Psalmist shares with us. Scripture reminds us "to always be ready to give testimony about the Lord and His working in our lives". Maybe this can be a testimony for you to share this week to someone who challenges your faith. Who else has promised to "send His only Son to die for our sins; to forgive us and prepare a heavenly home for us" after this life? So, what has the Lord done for you lately?
