Lady Apaches drop pair of games

Team to host Riverfield today at 4 p.m.

8-25_GB_softballThe Glenbrook Lady Apaches dropped a pair of varsity softball games this week.

On Monday, the Lady Apaches traveled to Pineville and lost to Cenla Christian Academy, 9-8.

Katie Kidd led the Lady Apaches offense as she belted out two doubles and drove in two runs. Shelby Nicholas went two-for-three with three RBIs and Macie Branch had a pair of singles. Sunni Wilson doubled and scored a run and Peyton Ruple had a double and a run scored.

Tuesday, Glenbrook hosted Prairie View Academy, 10-3.

Kidd again led the offense, this time with a single, a double and two runs batted in. Rayla Hardaway had a single, a RBI and a run scored and Nicholas and Jessica Mangrum both added singles. Leanna Cooper slugged a double and scored a run.

Today the Lady Apaches will host a district game as the Riverfield Lady Raiders come to town. The action starts at 4 p.m. with the JV game, varsity game to follow. The ladies will then play in the River Oaks Tournament on Saturday.
