New Chamber member announced

andersonDavid Anderson is one of the new directors for the Springhill North Webster Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Anderson is a Loan Officer for Citizens Bank & Trust in Springhill.

He is a lifelong resident of North Bossier and Webster parishes. When he was nine years old he moved with his family to Sarepta to open Winham's IGA Supermarket.

After graduation from Sarepta High School in 1971, Mr. Anderson attended Northwestern State University. While there he pledged the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He became active in the Theta Mu Chapter, serving as Grand Procurator.

David and his wife, Norma, built their home in Plain Dealing on the site where David grew up as a child. They have one son, Jason, who is the Chief CRNA at LSU Health Sciences Center. Jason is married to Melissa and they have two sons, Courtland and Cain.

Mr. Anderson is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Plain Dealing. He is a faithful choir member and has served as the Chairperson for both the Administrative Council and the Board of Trustees as well as serving as a member of the Finance Committee.

He has a "love/hate" relationship with golf, holding a membership at Oakland Plantation Country Club in Plain Dealing where he has served as President and on the Board of Directors for several years.

Four-wheeler riding with his family and friends is also one of his loves as well as watching his grandsons play basketball, compete in karate, and especially water skiing.
