All children’s art, poetry and crafts to be entered into the 2012 Spring Arts Festival must be hand delivered to City ArtWorks on Main Street between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. today and between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday, April 7 (tomorrow).

Greater St. Paul B.C., Rev. Royal Scott, pastor, is having a Watchmen Fellowship Program at 7 p.m.

Meadowview Health and Rehab will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. at the facility. Everyone is invited to attend.

April 7

First Pentecostal Church is having a community Easter egg hunt from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 612 Hwy. 531 Ballpark.

The 12th Annual WP Spring Spectacular 1-mile fun run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5k/10k run/walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. The event sponsored by the Junior Service League and Sportspectrum will start and end in the Presbyterian parking lot. Registration is $20 and all proceeds will benefit the United Assistance Christian Program.

A free community wide Easter egg hunt sponsored by Central Assembly of God, 700 Highway 80, Haughton (next to LA Downs) will begin at 10 a.m. The event will include over 5,000 eggs, with prize eggs, candy eggs, money eggs and inflatables for children walking up to 12 years old.

“Southern Made Sistaz” are hosting an Easter egg hunt from 2-6 p.m. at Ewell Park for elementary students pre-K to 5th grade. The event will include refreshments, face painting and egg hunt with chances to find candy, prizes and cash.

April 8

First Pentecostal Church, 612 Hwy. 531, is having an Easter Drama, “Calvary’s Spotless Lamb,” at 6 p.m.

Calvary Baptist Church, 9333 Linwood Ave., Shreveport, is hosting an EggFest that will include egg hunts, crafts, jumpies and more. the event is free and will begin at 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. It is for children ages three yrs to fifth grade.

Hopewell B.C. is having a sunrise service at 5:45 a.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Samuel Bradley.

Holly Springs B.C. is having a revival through April 11 with Evangelist Scotty McDowell, a chalk artist. Service times are: Sunday 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and; Mon-Wed. 6:30 p.m. nightly.

Mt. Calvary B.C., Joseph L. Henderson, pastor, will have a combined  Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Kenneth Hunter, pastor of St. Duty CME Church, Arcadia. Morning worship will be at 9:30 a.m.

April 9

Union Grove B.C. will hold a youth revival through Wednesday, April 10. Services will be at 7 p.m. nightly. Special speaker will be Pastor Victor Morgan of Harrison Chapel MBC, Magnolia, Arkansas.

April 10

The Minden Housing Authority will hold a public meeting at 8 a.m. at 1209 East St., to receive comments on 2012-CFP Submission/Annual Plan for the Minden Housing Authority. All documents are on display at the office of the Housing Authority, 1209 East St., Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
