Blue Run Baptist Church, 1228 Blue Run Rd., Minden, is hosting a Second Anniversary honoring Pastor Gregory DeLoach and First Lady Sister Latina DeLoach at 2:30 p.m. Special guest will be Rev. John L. Cole, pastor of Mt. Comfort B.C., Minden. All churches are invited.

Galilee Missionary B.C., 595 Central School Rd., Dubberly, Minister James E Smith, pastor/teacher, is having “When All God’s Children Get together Program” at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Minister Carol Heard and guest choir will be Union Grove B.C., Minden.

The Krewe of Elders Grande Bal will be held from 6p.m.- 11 p.m at the American Legion Hall Post No. 14 located at 5315 South Lakeshore Drive, Shreveport Theme: Le Jeune D'Esprit. Springhill Main Street’s largest Mardi Gras Parade will roll down the street on February 4, at 1 p.m. The theme this year is: “My Big Fat Greek Parade,” which opens up a world of ideas for your float, boat, classic car or whatever you have that will roll. Many plaques will be awarded.

Judges from out of town will be provided. Lineup is at noon and the parade will roll rain or shine North from South of the South Main Mall. For information call Jan at 539-5699.

The Immanuel Lutheran Church Women’s Weekend will begin at 6 pm to 9 p.mand go tthrough Saturday, Jan. 21 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Living “The Choclate Life”: Savoring the Rich Indulgence of God’s Grace will highlight this weekend retreat in Bossier City with author and speaker Deb Burma.
