Prep baseball season enters final month

The 2013 high school baseball regular season enters its final month this week as the Webster Parish schools scramble for playoff spots.

Here's a brief look at all the parish baseball games scheduled for this week.

Minden High

The Crimson Tide will host the Benton Tigers on Thursday and then will travel to Shreveport to play at Huntington High School at 1 p.m.


The Lakeside Warriors will have a busy week, playing three times.

Today they will travel to Sterlington for a 6 p.m. game and then will host Jonesboro-Hodge on Thursday.

Saturday the Warriors will travel to Natchitoches to play St. Mary's at 1 p.m.


The Glenbrook Apaches will host Central School today and will travel to Pineville for a district game with Cenla Academy on Thursday.

Saturday, the Apaches will travel to Bastrop to take on Prairie View Academy at noon in a game rescheduled from last Saturday.


The Doyline Panthers will play twice on the road this week.

Today, the Panthers will travel to Dodson, and Friday they will play at Simsboro.

North Webster

The North Webster Knights will play three games this week beginning with today's game at Evangel.

Thursday, the Knights will play a double header at Mansfield, and then on Saturday they will play at Parker's Chapel (Ark.).
