Lakeside, Glenbrook and North Webster also at home; Doyline plays at Weston

The 2012-13 high school basketball regular season is rapidly coming to the end, and the parish teams are playing some important district games as they look to clamp down on playoff spots and district titles.

Minden High

The Minden High Crimson Tide and Lady Tiders will host Huntington High School tonight.

The Crimson Tide and the Raiders are tied for first place in District 1-4A, and this game could decide the district championship.

"This is probably the biggest game since we hosted Bossier a couple of years ago," Crimson Tide head coach Alan Shaw said. "We sold out that game, and I hope we get the community to come out and support us this time."

Shaw said he understands with the St. Jude Telethon underway, some people may split on where to spend Friday night.

"There's no bigger supporter of St. Jude than us," he said. "We're going to do some things, special prices for students and we're going to give part of the money to St. Jude."

Lakeside

The Lakeside Warriors and Lady Warriors were originally scheduled to play at Lake Providence, but instead they will host the Panthers and Lady Panthers beginning at 6 p.m.

Tonight will also be Senior Night for the girls. There are no senior players on the boys' team.

Glenbrook

The Glenbrook teams will host Cenla Christian Academy tonight at the Minden Rec.

The Apaches currently sit behind the undefeated Lions in district play.

Doyline

The Doyline High teams will head to Weston to take on the Wolves and Lady Wolves..

North Webster

The North Webster basketball teams will host their District 1-2A rivals from Calvary Baptist tonight starting at 6 p.m.
