Funeral services for Lewis Pace will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lakeview United Methodist Church in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Howington and Rev. Leon Boggs. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013) at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Lewis was born Jan. 5, 1948 in Columbia and entered into rest Jan. 28, 2013 in Bossier City.
Lewis graduated from Minden High School in 1965. He graduated with a bachelor degree in Industrial Arts from Northwestern State University. He obtained his masters in college administration with a minor in psychology from Northwestern. Lewis retired as Director of Transportation with Webster Parish Community Action and was a member of the Webster Parish 911 Board.
He is survived by is wife of 43 years, Laverne Hicks Pace of Minden; parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.T. Pace, Jr. of Minden; son, Matthew Pace of West Virginia; daughter, Amanda Pace of Baton Rouge; sister, Sally Pace Cox of Minden; grandchildren, Bryce Alexander Pace, Rowan Matthew Pace and Addison Kathryn Pace of West Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Charles Stubbs, Charles Odom, Richard Tatum, Ed LaBruyere, David Edmonson and Steven Bryan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Webster Parish Communications District One members and staff.
The family would like to thank Town & Country Nursing Home, Cornerstone Hospital, their staff, and physicians for the excellent care they provided for Lewis.
