The Glenbrook Apache netters opened their 2013 season at home with a dual match, hosting the River Oaks Mustangs.
Noah Woodard led the way for the Apaches, claiming two of the winning five points with victories in both singles and doubles. The 5-4 win was a reflection of the abilities of veteran players.
Coach Wayne Orr stated that he was pleasantly surprised with the play of his team. "We have not been able to practive very much since the conclusion of basketball season. The weather has been either too cold or too windy. We have the same team members from last season with the addition of two sixth graders. We hope that the season's play will build on the success we enjoyed at last year's South Tournament. However, with a limited number of boys, we will be disadvantaged in each match, " noted Orr.
