Beatrice Banks Mims

424398_10200399100163913_924846525_nSister Beatrice Mims was born to the late Mr. Frank and Henrietta Jenkins Banks on Nov. 7, 1914.

At an early age she united with Mt. Comfort Baptist Church and was a dedicated usher until her health failed.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Gilliam Mims Jr. To this union one son was born, Eddie James Mims Sr., who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby B. White, Mattie Lee Sterling and Mae Lizzie Emerson; three brothers, Edmond Banks, Alonzo Banks and Benjamin Banks.

On Jan. 23, 2013 at Minden Medical Center, God called her home.

She leaves to cherish her memories one granddaughter, Carolyn Mims Cosby (Kenneth) of Minden; one grandson, Eddie James Mims Jr. (Romae) of Desoto, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Eddie James Mims, III (LaToya) and Keonte Kentrell Mims of Desoto, Texas; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Jazmyn and Jahmar Goolsby of DeSoto, Texas; a special niece, Regina Seamster of Panama City, Florida; a devoted sister-in-law, Kathleen Jackson; sister-in-law, Ella Wee Mims; one brother-in-law, Willie Mims all of Minden; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
