The Lakeside Warriors will begin the Class 2A playoffs tonight with a first round game with the Winnfield Tigers.
"It's going to be a pretty tough game," Warrior head coach Jason Gould said. "Winnfield is big and athletic. Their guards aren't big tall-wise, but their muscled-up and athletic. They both play running back on the football team. In fact, most of their team plays football, making them a very physical team."
Lakeside enters the game with a 17-11 record and the #22 overall seed in Class 2A. Winnfield claimed the #11 overall seed, as they went 13-10 in District 3-2A.
The game will be played at Winnfield tonight at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $7 per person.
