A group of family, coaches, teachers, friends and teammates gathered in the Lakeside library as Carpenter signed his scholarship papers.
"We had a real nice ceremony at the school," Lakeside head coach Jason Gould said. "We just wanted to make it as nice as possible for T.J. and his family. He's such a great kid and has a great family."
