The Glenbrook Apaches split a pair of games Monday and Tuesday, beating Cenla, 15-0, and falling to Marshall (Texas), 11-6.
Against Cenla Tuesday at home, the Apaches' starting pitcher Connor Copeland held Cenla hitless and the Apaches bats scored 15 runs in three innings as the Apaches shut out the Lions.
Copeland struck out four in his three innings.
Bailey Petit ripped a pair of doubles and drove in three runs and Dalton Scruggs had a single and two RBIs. Jacob White, Cameron Matthews, Copeland and Caleb Wilson all added base hits.
Monday at LSUS, the Apaches took on Marshall High School, a 5A Texas public school.
The Apaches were leading b6-3 heading into the sixth inning when the wheels came off.
"The sixth inning just killed us," Glenbrook coach Jonathan Hardy said. "We were up 6-3 and then we made a lot of mental and throwing errors. Marshall scored seven runs and took the lead. We just have block out the bad things and cut down on our errors, mental and physical. We need to make the routine plays."
Logan Clark doubled, singled and drove in three runs to lead the Apache offense. Jacob White, Cameron Matthews, Spencer White and Caleb Wilson all added base hits.
Jacob White started on the mound and went the first four innings, allowing four hits and striking out two. He gave up two earned runs.
"Jacob pitched really well," Hardy said. "He did a good job and gave us a chance to win the ball game."
Bailey Petit gave up three hits in a 1 2/3 innings and Spencer White allowed one earned run in 1 1/3.
The Apaches are now 9-4 on the year, and 2=1 in district.
They will host Union Christian in a district game Friday night at 6 p.m.
