Funeral services for Ruth Dale Dunn, 94, formerly of Elm Grove, will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Point Chapel Assembly of God Church in Doyline with the Rev. Richard Bolt officiating. Interment will follow in Point Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., prior to the service. Ruth Dale was the last of the original charter members of Point Chapel.
She was born July 30, 1917, in Heflin, to James Henry and Smithie DeLoach Norris and passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012, in Shreveport. She celebrated her 95th birthday in heaven.
In September of 1932, Ruth Dale married the love of her life, Albert Woodrow Dunn. They never had children, but were blessed with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, sisters, Leola Shelley and Florence Booth, and brothers, Curtis Norris and Earnest Norris.
Those left to cherish the memory of Aunt Ruth Dale are her many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Pallbearers will be her nephews Lavert Shelley, Jimmy Booth, Ronnie Norris, Gerald Norris and Earnest Norris, Jr. Honorary pallbearers, also nephews, are Jack Booth, Jody Booth, Jimmy Norris and Ralph Norris.
