Glynn Harris spring fishing report for the area lakes

BLACK BAYOU: The bream are on the beds and hitting crickets and worms. Bass are fair on floating lizards and Rogues. Crappie are fair on shiners or jigs fished around the grass. For latest information, contact the Honey Hole at 323-8707.

CANEY LAKE: Bass are in the back of the coves with Flukes, Rogues and 5 inch lizards picking up some fish to 6 pounds. Chinquapins are starting to bed on the shallow humps and are hitting cold worms and night crawlers. Some crappie are still hanging around deeper brush while some are on shallow spawning beds and hitting shiners or jigs. For more information, call the Honey Hole at 323-8707.
