Clyde Lewis, Sr., 77, was born April 29, 1935 to the late Willie Mae Key Morris and the late Johnnie D. Lewis.
Clyde accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mayflower Baptist Church.
He departed this early life on Jan. 18, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Val Jean Lewis.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory three daughters, Beverly Lewis Jones of Kansas City, Missouri, Lisa Lewis Fincher (John) of Minden and Cheri Ford of Grandview, Missouri; five sons, Clyde Lewis, Jr., Kenny Lewis, Anthony Lewis, all of Tyler, Texas, Marvin Lewis (Toni) of Kansas City, Missouri and Anthony Bruce (Lajuana) of Minden; one brother, Johnnie E. Lewis (Annie) of Minden; 13 grandchildren; his special angels, Valissia Harper and Rachael Fincher; one great-grandchild; special cousin, Kim Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26 at 2 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Alvin Shelton officiating. Interment will be in Mayflower Cemetery.
Visitation will held Friday, January 25 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary
