Friday morning, two more Minden High athletes signed scholarship papers to continue playing their sports in college.
Dantavion Harris and T’Keya Moore both signed letters-of-intent in front of their fellow students during an awards ceremony at the school.
Harris signed with Mississippi College to play football, where he will join three other Crimson Tide players that signed with the school earlier this year, Keith Oliver, Rodarian Rogers and Milton Shelton.
Moore will head to Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas. At the recent Minden High basketball banquet, Moore was awarded the team’s MVP Award as well as the Top Offensive Player Award.
“Tkeya is very excited about the opportunity to continue playing basketball at the college level,” Lady Tider head coach Jacob Brown said. “She has the ability to go on and do terrific things at the college level and she will also fit their style of play as well. Trinity Valley is a perennial power on the JUCO level.”
Crimson Tide football head coach Randy Peters is very high on Harris.
“Dantavion is an excellent cover guy, a real shut down cover,” he said. “He’s been a three-year starter for us and he’s very aggressive against the run and he has the ability to cover receivers that are bigger than him. He’s also an very good cover guy on special teams, he’ll do very well at Mississippi College.
