Three Minden High Lady Tiders were recently honored with spots on the District 1-4A All-District teams.
Ja'Courtney Neloms, Antavia Sterling and Metosha Gill were all selected by the coaches from District 1-4A for their outstanding play this season.
"These three ladies were really valuable to us this year," Lady Tider head coach Jacob Brown said. "We're very pleased to see how these ladies improved as players as well as people during their time here, they will always be part of this program."
Neloms was named to the District 1-4A Second Team. She averaged 21 points per game in district play, as well as 2.4 rebounds, two assists and two steals.
"She did a lot of good things for us this year," Brown said. "She was our top scorer and became a really good defender. She could handle the ball really well and was real consistant. It's quite an honor from the district coaches for her."
Sterling made the Honorable Mention team and averaged 11 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
"Antavia was an important player for us," Brown said. "She was our leading rebounder and she could score on the inside or outside. She could also handle the basketball and was able to lead the fast break for us on occasion."
Gill was also a Honorable Mention team member. She averaged seven points, three rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
"Metosha did a lot of things for us," brown said. "She tended to guard the opposition's best offensive player. We also saw signs of her ability to score late in the season."
"We were fortunate to get three girls on the All-District teams," Brown said. "All of these girls have been important for us during their careers here and we know they will go on and have success in whatever they do in the future."
