Residents fight off alleged home invader

A Shreveport man who allegedly entered a Minden residence uninvited in the early morning hours Saturday found himself facing some very angry residents who were determined that his visit would end in jail.

Tavaris Ross, 22, who lives in the 2700 block of Frederick Street in Shreveport, is charged with home invasion after crawling through the window of a Searles Street residence. Once inside, Minden Chief of Police Steve Cropper said, the suspect grabbed one of the residents.
