Shreveport man busted for crack

A Shreveport man who chose to peddle his crack cocaine in Minden has been arrested in Shreveport, with a local hold.

Kameron Raynard Kennon, 30, of the 9000 block of Dean Road, was arrested Thursday on Minden Police warrants for two counts of distribution of crack cocaine.

Kameron_KennonAccording to Minden Police Chief Steve  Cropper, Kennon was picked up by the U.S. Marshal’s Office, Shreveport Probation and Parole and the Shreveport Police Department.

“During the arrest at a home where he was staying, the agents recovered approximately 60 grams of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana,” Cropper said.

Kennon was booked by Capt. Marvin Garrett and Lt. Dan Weaver on the two warrants and is incarcerated with a bond of $130,000.

“This is what can be accomplished when all agencies work closely together to fight illegal drug activities that span out into multiple cities and parishes,” Cropper said.
