The City of Minden is urging citizens to continue following the voluntary outdoor watering schedule. The schedule, which became effective on June 21, will continue until further notice.

"The purpose of the schedule for watering is to reduce the stress on our water supply during the current drought," said Minden Mayor Bill Roberston. "As this drought continues and the heat rises, it is necessary to further promote and encourage outdoor water use reduction now and in the coming weeks."
