'Pit' gets fresh paint on goals

The "Pit's" field goals at Minden High's W. W. Williams Field have a fresh coat of paint thanks to efforts by MHS Alumni and community sponsors and supporters. "The inspiration for me was to do this for my son Evan and other kids that hope to play on the MHS Football Team," Brian Brown said. "I want to do everything I can to build the Tide stadium back to former glory." Assisting Brown with the project were Nathan Triplett, Shane and Angela Frye of Angel Supply, Mike Tubbs with Sherwin Williams, Ronald Kennedy, Coach Dean Francis, students and others.
