Bossier Bearkats top Panthers, 12-3

DOYLINE — The Doyline Panthers (7-6) fell to Bossier, 12-3, on Tuesday.

Doyline starter Gage Brunson took the loss.

"Gage did his job and threw strikes and we didn't play defense behind him," Doyline coach John Austin said. " We had a few errors

and they hit the ball pretty well, too. Our offense never got rolling. One time we had bases loaded with no outs and the next three batters struck out. You can't win ball games doing that."

Peyton Goerner led the offense with a pair of dou- bles. Micheal Augustine and Keven Bolen both added a single and a dou- ble and Brunson had a base hit.

The Panthers will play their first district game against Castor 5 p.m. Thursday in Ringold.
