Funeral services for Robert Lee Holland, 92, were held Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Western Baptist Church with Chaplain William "Buster" Bailey officiating. Interment followed in Western Cemetery, Emerson, Arkansas under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
Visitation was held Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Holland was born Oct. 11, 1920 in Jonesboro to Lee Thomas and Mary Leona King Holland and passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 in Shongaloo. He was a lifelong resident of this area, was a retired carpenter and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his children, Roy Holland of Shreveport, James Holland of Bossier City, Willie Holland of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Cathrine Holland of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Ann Holland Grappe of Haughton and Kenneth Holland of Ft. Worth, Texas; special granddaughters, Lee Eason Jones and husband, Dainon and Rennette Paul; son-in-law, James Eason; and numerous other grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Holland was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise Campbell Holland; and three brothers, Erman, Herbert and Joe.
