Bobby Ray 'Pete' Coleman

Bobby_Ray_ColemanBobby Ray "Pete" Coleman was born Oct. 14, 1944 to Geneva Simpson Coleman and the late Ike Coleman, Sr. in Gibsland.

Bobby Ray accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Feltus Temple Church of God In Christ at an early age.

He attended school at Coleman High School in Gibsland.

He was united in holy matrimony to the late Armour Jean Wilson Coleman. To this union, a son was born.

"Pete" was employed by ConAgra Corporation, Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant and the City of Minden Sanitation Department.

Bobby Ray departed this earthly life Nov. 30, 2012 at Minden Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Ike Coleman, Sr. and brother, Ike Coleman, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his mother, Geneva Coleman of Arcadia; aunt who reared him, Roberlene Allen of Minden; son, Augusta Coleman of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; two brothers, James Boyd Coleman and Eddie Joe Coleman, both of Arcadia; aunt, Eliza Matthews of Arcadia; special cousin, Lois Hampton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation is today (Friday, December 7) in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 8, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary with Pastor B. J. Martin, officiating. Interment will follow at Sheppard Street Cemetery.
