The Glenbrook Apaches improved to 15-4 overall and 8-1 in district with an 8-1 win over Claiborne Academy on Monday.
Logan Clark and Bailey Petit combined to hold the Rebels to one run in seven innings.
Clark started and took the win with four innings of one-hit work. He allowed one earned run and struck out 11. Petit pitched three scoreless innings striking out five.
"I was pleased with the way Logan and Bailey pitched," Glenbrook coach Jonathan Hardy said. "Those two guys have been a huge factor for us this year. They do a real good job keeping the other team from scoring and they've won a lot of close games for us."
Clark went two-for-two at the plate and Petit singled. Caleb Wilson ripped a two-run home run and Jacob White had two hits and a RBI. Cameron Matthews went three-for-four with two runs batted in and Clay Simonton and Braden Dickson both singled.
"We had a big inning early, but we have to do a better job putting teams away," Hardy said. "We need to do a better job of that if we're going to be the team we think we're capable of being."
