Chandler family leaves mark in Lincoln Parish

Ed Chandler, Sr. had to have struggled with mixed emotions seven decades or so ago. While he was surely proud that his three sons, Waylon, Lavon and Ed Jr. were overseas fighting for our freedom, having three sons in harm's way at the same time had to have been responsible for many sleepless nights.

All three returned safely after the end of World War II, married and settled down east of Ruston. Until recently, Ed Jr. and Lavon continued to live in the same area while older brother, Waylon makes his home near Farmerville.
