The Minden Crimson Tide opened up their District 1-4A schedule with a home game against Northwood Thursday night at Griffith Stadium.
The Falcons took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second, but the Tide scored four runs in the bottom of the inning and never looked back.
The Tide added three runs in the bottom of the six to make the final 7-2.
Minden starter McCaul Lacobee pitched a complete game, striking out six batters as he improved his personal record to 4-3.
Turner Francis led the way at the plate, turning in a two-for-four, two-RBI game. Hutton Leppert doubled and drove in two runs and Lacobee added two hits, and Carson Bolyer went two-for-three. Mikey James, Thomas Pevy and Sawyer Stephens each added one hit.
The Crimson Tide is now 14-7 on the year and 1-0 in district play.
