STANLEY — The Doyline Panthers split a pair of games Thursday in the Stanley Tournament.
In the first game, the Panthers had to play extra baseball to beat Logansport, 10-9.
The game went 10 innings, and Zach Jordan drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th with two outs.
"It was a win and we will take it, but it was ugly to say the least," Doyline coach John Austin said. "Zach came through big with an RBI single in the bottom of the tenth to win the game.
Gage Brunson (3-2) got the win in relief of Luke Watson.
Peyton Goerner led the offense with three singles. Brunson had a pair of hits and Watson, Micheal Augustine, Jordan and Austin Culverhouse all added singles.
The Panthers were shut out by Northwood, 12-0 in the second game.
"We just played flat all day and you can't play a team like that flat and expect to keep the game close," Austin said. "We had some hits, but left them stranded."
Micheal Augustine had a double and a single. Watson, Peyton Goerner and Kevin Bolen all added singles.
Doyline is now 7-4 and will play Stanley Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
