The Glenbrook Apaches improved to 8-3 on the season with a 6-5 nine-inning win over Prairie View Academy on Saturday.
"I felt like we put the ball in play a lot better in this game," Glenbrook coach Jonathan hardy said. "We only had three strikeouts against a pretty good lefty, so I thought we did real well. We really had to play hard to pull out this win."
Glenbrook starter Bailey Pettite pitched six strong innings (three strikeouts) but was pulled with a 5-5 tie. Logan Clark came in and pitched three innings of relief, striking out six to get the win.
Cameron Matthews doubled and singled and Spencer White and Jacob White both had two hits and a RBI for the Apaches. Connor Copeland had a RBI-single and Logan Clark singled.
