The gospel of John was written "that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name" John 20:31. In keeping with this aim, the book begins by declaring Jesus to be the creative "Word". "And the Word was God. . . All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made" John 1:1, 3. Paul states "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Yes, it was through Jesus that all things were created, but though many acknowledge that fact, His role as Sustainer is oftgn overlooked.Subscribe to Read!
