Teacher trips to conferences to be closely monitored

Webster Parish school teachers and administrators who want to attend continuing education conferences and workshops out of town or out of state need to know their professional growth plans (PGP) for professional development (PD) will be coming under closer scrutiny than in the past.

At the conclusion of the superintendent's report at last week's parish school board meeting, superintendent of schools Dr. Dan Rawls said PGPs for PD "have to be real."
